    • Seas At Risk provides regular input to EU aquaculture policy processes in order to ensure that the sector develops in an environmentally sustainable manner.

    • Concerned about the heavy dependence of the sector on marine proteins and oils to fulfill feed requirements and its link to overfishing, the continued use of unknown quantities of medicals and chemicals, ineffective disease management, and the wider ecosystem effects of production which are as yet uncertain due to the lack of research and credible data.
